Regional Leadership Development Conferences (RLDC)
SHPE stages regional leadership development conferences on a yearly basis for the leadership of the SHPE student chapters to improve their organizational, managerial, and technical skills. They take place in all of the seven SHPE regions.
This program helps college students develop and improve their pre-college outreach programs and improve the infrastructure of SHPE student chapters.Student leaders learn how to interact and network with SHPE's corporate supporters. National Institute for Leadership Advancement (NILA)
The National Institute for Leadership Advancement (NILA) is exclusively designed to provide newly-elected student and professional chapter executive board members with the resources for leadership and chapter development. Communication and strategic planning skills are essential to be successful in your SHPE chapters and along your professional career path. Management Growth Training (MGT)
This program offers five days of comprehensive training on everything from project and financial management to dealing with difficult people to interpersonal communications. The intent is to provide our mid-level professional engineers with the critical skills that produce career advancement and elevate them to higher management levels within their companies. Designed as the 2nd tier in SHPE's Professional Development Strategies Series, the MGT program is currently being revised to offer an even more challenging and beneficial agenda. MGT's new curriculum even offers to provide credit hours in Project Management!
The Executive Leadership Institute's mission is to cultivate an interactive learning environment where current and potential executives are enabled to examine and enhance their leadership and management skills. If you're looking to elevate your game to the executive level,ELI is the program for you! ELI caters to those of you who are interested in pursuing careers at this altitude. This set of courses focuses on developing your natural leadership talent and is perfect for those who will be competing for executive positions and wish to be viable candidates.
Registrants are selected from the pool of SHPE Professional Member applicants. A recommendation from their employer, identifying the applicant as having executive potential, is necessary.
